Southern Energy and Environment Expo 2008

August 22-24th at The Western N.C. Agricultural Center

ECO Clean Air Car Fair

This is the most comprehensive alternative vehicle, clean fuel and low emissions car fair in the nation!

The Car Fair is sponsored by the Environmental and Conservation Organization (ECO) and brings auto dealers and customers together with the latest vehicles that conserve energy and improve air quality.

Plus, a wide range of individually owned bio-fueled, electric and alternative vehicles will be on display, along with educational and functional models of bio-fuel production systems.

*As a special bonus from the S.E.E. Expo to support the Car Fair, the driver of any alternative-fuel vehicle, (SVO, biofuels, electric, ethanol, and methane), including electric/g as hybrids, will get VIP parking!

*Dozens of vehicles from seven area dealers and alternative fuel vehicles (AFVs) from many sources will be located under the covered outdoor arena, adjacent to the Main Exhibits Indoor Arena. See below for a preliminary list of vehicles anticipated; some specific vehicles subject to availability from dealers.

*Local dealers will show their low-emission, high gas-mileage conventional gasoline-powered autos as well as gasoline/electric hybrids.

"Folks in Western North Carolina want to improve air quality and support Clean Car technologies," said “Clean Air” event organizer Tom Davis. "The vehicle you drive is an important choice. Our tourism, recreation, and health industries, employers, and quality of life depend on clean, low-emission cars. Visit the Car Fair to see the latest and newest technologies."

Hours for the ECO “Clean Air” Car Fair are the same as the Southern Energy & Environment Expo’s, noon to 6 p.m., Friday, Aug. 22; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 23; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 24. General admission to the S.E.E. Expo includes the ECO “Clean Air” Car Fair each day.

ECO is a regional nonprofit organization that since 1987 has been dedicated to clean air, clean water, recreation, and conservation and preservation of the natural heritage and resources of the mountain region.
