Southern Energy and Environment Expo 2008
August 22-24th at The Western N.C. Agricultural Center
The annual S.E.E. Expo provides the general public an opportunity to see and learn about - first hand- the practical and presently available options for utilizing clean, renewable sources of energy, protecting our natural environment and working towards a sustainable economy for the region. By working together, businesses, conservation organizations and government agencies have already made the S.E.E. Expo the largest event of its kind in the Southeast.
Combining the first two Expos, visitors numbering slightly over 8,000 inspected nearly 200 displays and exhibits and attended 120 formal one hour presentations with 1,900 students seeing 36 introductory programs on energy and the environment. In 2003, the SEE Expo had a three day attendance of 5,000 participants. In 2004, three day attendance reached 6,000 and 72 presentations and workshops were offered over the SEE Expo weekend. We had a goal of 10,000 visitors in 2005, and 2006 and 2007 attendance was absolutely fantastic. Help us surpass our expectations in 2008!
